Do you know PEMDAS?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but im horrible at math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. Well we can split this up with parentheses and then solve according to PEMDAS. Any ideas where we should put the parentheses?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (ehsan18):

just tell him the simple way!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you plz just tell me the answear

OpenStudy (ehsan18):

first multiply the numbers on the left side of the + sign and then divide the ones on the right side...at the end add both the answers!

OpenStudy (ehsan18):

the answer comes out to be 10!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well there are two parts to this that we're gonna solve, and they're separated by the "+" symbol. The parentheses will be going around the two groups on each side of the "+". It'll look like this \[\large (-12 \times -\frac{1}{6} \times 3)~+~(48 \div 3)\] and ok, *sigh*

@Ehsan18 Can we NOT baby the asker and actually let them do some work?
