Help with Lewis and Clark's Expedition?
@Surana I have this chart and it's asking me for a bunch of information on Lewis, Clark, York and another person.
Show me the chart.
It's not that hard but I'm just confused and my professor's being a roach at the moment. http://prntscr.com/7hdki3
Well, let's get the most obvious points out of the way. Lewis and Clark were prominently remembered for the whole thing. It charted a bunch of land and brought new territory to the United States.
Okay yeah, I think that ichigo basically summed it up here.
this is 8th grade flvs, not "proffesser" i did ths assighnmnet
would you like my file
I got this; (about York) "Although York was a slave, he participated in the expedition in much the same way as the others. He was allowed to use a gun to hunt and he often completed work tasks alongside the men. York was described as large and muscular. Many Native Americans were interested in York because they had never seen a black man before. In one instance, Lewis was able to persuade a group of Shoshone to trade with him by promising them a look at York. When the expedition ended, York remained Clark’s slave for at least 10 more years before he was granted his freedom." So with that I can say his background is African-American Slave. Personality: He seems like a good guy, a loyal person and his looks were intimidating, right? His role was helping the guys out and hunting. He interacted with others by helping them out, and it says he remained as Clark's slave 10 years so that's a plus, no?
No I don't want to cheat it out, I actually want to learn, surprisingly.
Okay, yeah, that's a good start.
Thank you I'll put it in
I need more information on the others though
Let me see...
Oh, they charted much of the future Louisiana Territory. That's something.
That helped for Lewis a lot! I found this: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nwa/sacajawea.html basically I'm using a bunch of different websites and not the notes provided for me, oh joy. XD
That's great!
What could I put in the "feelings" part for her?
That I'm not all to sure of.
Try her personality.
is your teacher Mr. henkel
No. & http://prntscr.com/7he5lu can I say that she seemed like she wanted to go?
Her tribes offered horses so that's a support in transportation and that can be put in how she interacted w/ other people I think..
Yeah, you could say that. "Reasonable, eager to adventure" or something like that.
That's good thank you :)
:D Anything else?
Some info for Clark, I haven't done anything for him yet. This is what I have put together so far. http://prntscr.com/7he9uf
Clark was the leader, if I remember correctly.
There I'm pretty sure that's all the screenshots
That looks good.
Yeah, okay so I finished with Sacagawea and York. I have one thing down for Lewis I need to finish all of Clark and 3-4 more for Lewis.
Okay, I would do that from the perspective of whoever you have more information about.
I am pretty sure I have to do one for all of them. Great.
Okay...
Do the one that's easiest first.
I'm doing Lewis' right now and I finished the chart. Can you help me a bit with Clark's paragraph? I already feel comfortable with York and Sacagawea.
Sorry I wasn't here earlier.
Did you succeed?
I finished it all then my computer decided to shut down and I didn't have a chance to save the file. :))))
