A bag contains 10 marbles of the same size that are red, yellow, and orange. The probability of picking a red marble is 10%. The probability of picking a yellow marble is 60%. Determine the probability of picking an orange marble from the bag and then classify the probability of picking an orange marble as likely or not likely to occur.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The total probability is 100%. Subtract the values you have from 100%.

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

Can you please write the answer out Explaint it though please

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The probability of picking a marble of any color is 100%. The probability of picking a red marble is 10%. The probability of picking a yellow one is 60%. 100% - 10% - 60% = ? That is the probability of picking an orange one. If that probability is between 50% and 100% it is likely. If that probability is between 0% and 50%, it is unlikely.
