OpenStudy (mindblast3r):
\[\frac{ x }{ 2\sqrt{3} }=2\]
rvc (rvc):
cross multiply :)
rvc (rvc):
What do you get after cross multiplying ?
rvc (rvc):
example
\[\frac{ x }{ 6\sqrt{3} } = 15 \\ \\ x= 6\sqrt{3}~ X~ 15\]
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
What's up mind blaster?

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):
how would i solve for x?
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
rvc has it, \[x = 6\sqrt{5} \times 15\] I think that big X might have confused you, it's just being multiplied.
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
Remember \[a \sqrt{b} \times c \implies (c \times a) \sqrt{b}\]
OpenStudy (mindblast3r):
hmm
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
\[6\sqrt{3} \times 15 \implies (6 \times 15) \sqrt{3}\]

\[4\sqrt{3}\]
OpenStudy (mindblast3r):
is that the answer?
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
\[90\sqrt{3}\]
OpenStudy (mindblast3r):
how?
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
It cannot be simplified.

your telling me this is it?
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
What?
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
Oooh
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
I was looking at rvc's example

its 4\(\sqrt3\) = 4 X 1.732
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
Haha, I thought that was the question!
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
Yes, you're right mindblaster :)
OpenStudy (mindblast3r):
oh1! it all makes sense now! thank you all <3
OpenStudy (astrophysics):
\[4\sqrt{3}\] is right haha, sorry about that!
