|dw:1434429827096:dw| would you agree that's the angle we are looking for?
Remember the tan ratio is off the following \[\tan \theta = \frac{ opposite }{ adjacent }\] so for the following angle label the opposite side and adjacent side.
I have understood none of which you have just said...
Well, it's hard for me to know what you know, so please tell me what you think of this problem and we can go from there.
I got D.
@Astrophysics ?
Sorry we aren't looking for the angle be we are looking for tan D so it's the same thing, but no, you guessed wrong, if you just look at the ratio your answer lies there, good luck.
I would like to change my answer
Ok, do this instead, put opposite and adjacent side on the triangle.
Do that in the drawing, so I know you understand what's going on.
We are using that angle to figure out the sides.
I'm really trying But I can really make it visual But wat I did do was forget to put down my new answer I had gotten 8/15
And I have NO idea wat adjacent means...
I'm just now learning this
Well you did get the right answer, but here is how it works...|dw:1434432468045:dw| adjacent just means next to, in this case the angle, so we have the ratio Tan theta = opp/adj, you can remember the ratios by remembering such: SOH CAH TOA, that gives away the ratios :P.
