HELP ANYONE PLEASE?(:

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Nnesha (nnesha):

you have to use Pythagorean theorem \[\huge\rm a^2 +b^2 =c^2\] remember c is the longest side of right triangle so plug in a b c values then solve if both sides are equal then yes :-)

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Wait so, 20^2+24^2=c^2?

Nnesha (nnesha):

substitute c value

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I don't think they are equal. So, I think the answer would be no.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

But, would I be correct in saying that?

Nnesha (nnesha):

well use calculator and tell me i'm 1000% sure

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I'm confused, so 20^2+24^2=30^2?1

Nnesha (nnesha):

31 not 30

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Oh oops.

Nnesha (nnesha):

now solve both sides if both sides are equal then yes if both sides are not equal then no

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Well, 31^2=961 and 20^2+24^2=976.

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay what about 20^2+24^2 = ?? take square and then add up

OpenStudy (liv1234):

20^2+24^2=976

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes so 31^2 ??

OpenStudy (liv1234):

961

OpenStudy (liv1234):

So, the answer is no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A^2 or 20^2 is 400 B^2 or 24^2 is 576 C^2 or 31^2 is 961 400+576=976 not 961

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Can you help me with another question?

Nnesha (nnesha):

hm i'll try

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Nnesha (nnesha):

close this one and make a new post so other people able to help u :-)

Nnesha (nnesha):

thanks :-)
