What was one of the main reasons Hoover lost the election of 1932? Americans felt Hoover’s reforms had not done enough to help them directly. Voters were angered by protectionist measures that inhibited foreign trade. Voters wanted a repeal of Prohibition laws of the 1920s. His opponent led a smear campaign that diminished his image in the public eye. I know it was B/C of the stock market crash being his fault.

Answer is (A) Americans felt hoover's reforms had not done enough to help them directly. This is the answer because of the stock market crash, unemployment, soup kitchens, etc. and hoover had gotten blamed for it because he didnt do anything to improve.so, FDR was elected for president and he gave the new deal and helped them, which is a whole different story but was the afterlife of the stock market crash, unemployment etc
