The Suffolk Resolves declared that the colonists were not subject by law to obey the Intolerable Acts. The Intolerable Acts were passed after Boston Tea party incident (a large shipment of tea was defiantly thrown away in Boston's harbor due to the fact that the British Empire was heavily taxing colonists, while depriving these colonists from representation in the British parliament).
