actually the expression is 6 + (9 - 1)^2 ÷ 4 ⋅ 1/2^4
PEMDAS
parentheses first, then exponents, then multiplication/division, then addition/subtraction
So you get 9-1 is 8, squared is 64. then the 1/2 to the 4th simplifies to 1/16. Then 64/4 is 16. 16 * 1/16 is 1. 6 + 1 = 7. 7 is your answer.
I know the order of operations but for some reason this one is giving me troubles.
