Help me with factoring for a medal?
9x^2 + 3x - 2 = 0 How would I factor this?
-2*9=-18 |dw:1434501674955:dw| (9x^2-3x)+(6x-2) Factor left side of equation. (3x−1)(3x+2)=0 Set factors equal to 0. 3x−1=0 or 3x+2=0
mm yeah, thats the answer
no its not
how is it not
(3x-1)(3x+2)?
3x−1=0 or 3x+2=0 SOLVE <---this is why its not 3x-1=0 3x+2=0
u need to solve for x in the TWO SEPARATE equations so you end up with 2 answers
So I'm a bit confused with your first post. 9*-2=-18, but why did you put (9x^2-3x)+(6x-2)?
because that is factoring by grouping
Oh okay. But I'm still confused on how exactly you factor. So can we take this step by step?
Okay, this is helpful yes. But I've been up all day, since 2 in the morning doing nothing but tests and essays. And I can hardly think. Right now, all that text is overwhelming me to the point where I can't even think when I look at all that.
this is a test?
If I'm not how I am now, then I would be able to read all that no problem. But I'm at the point where too much text overwhelms me
No, this is an assignment. I'm assigned to factor this specific question twice, each with a different factoring method
OH MY GOD SO MUCH BETTER. YOUR A GODDESS! Haha, thanks!
