Check my answers? 6. simplify x / 7x+x^2 --> 1/7+x where x/= 0,-7 7. simplify -14x^3 / x^3-5x^4 --> -14/1-5x where x /= 1/5, 0 8. x-2 / x^2+4x-12 --> 1/x+6 where x/= -6, 2 9.x^2-3x-10 dont know yet 10. 2/3a * 2/a^2 dont know yet 11. x+2/5x-15 * (10x^2-25x-15) --> (2x+1)/5(x-3) 12. (x^2-16/x-1) dont know yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 6-> it would be 1/7 + x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not one of the choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure? because there's no way that x^2 can be simplified to x without cancelling which cant be done because you've already cancelled out the x 's from x/7x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 and 8 are right btw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the choices are 1/7+x; where x/= -7 1/7x; where x/= 0 1/7+x where x/= 0,-7 1/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 9, the answer would be simply be (x-5)(x+2) because you just split it up, and 10 : \[\frac{ 2 }{ 3a }*\frac{ 2 }{ a^2 }\] =4/3a^3 when you multiply the numerators and the denominator together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for #9, thats not a choice but there is x-5; where x /=-2 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya, that's also correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about 11 & 12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for your help btw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Purplerainbowcherry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not really sure about 12 because all I could simplify it to was (x+4)(x-4)/(x-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+4/x-1 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's the thing, I dont really get how the functions are suddenly disappearing in your choices, but if thats the answer that's closest then go for it I guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea either tbh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about this, you choose a value for x and see if you get the same answer for the original function, and for your simplified function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you try what I said?
