Which of the following illustrates how word choice can create a negative mood? the use of “night” rather than “dark” the use of “decay” rather than “weaken” the use of “festivity” rather than “fiesta” the use of “verse” rather than “poetry”

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By elimination, we can take away options c and d, since c is positive and d is neutral. A is confusing, because some people like night, but you would never use it negatively. I hate night.. doesn't make sense. When I think of the word decay, I think of dead bodies and plants just rotting away... Based on this, what do you think the answer is?
