Genetic material that directs the cell is called RNA The Nucleus Cytoplasm DNA
@Abhisar
@Mehek14
on a limb, rna, lemme verify
what do you think?
what controls the whole cell?
@geny55 ?
rna it is
or nucleas, those r wat im gettin
i would go with RNA, tell me if it was wrong plz
RNA is wrong ._.
b? @Mehek14
@jagr2713
thats right
@geny55 yes B
@geny55 @mehek14 It is not "B". The cell nucleus contains DNA, but it does not contain all cellular DNA, and Archaea and Eubacteria do not even have a nucleus. Further, the nucleus is a structure, a membrane-bound organelle. What you are saying is equivalent to saying that the bladder inside a football is what inflates the football and not air. A biological analogy would be something like stating that our head directs our actions and when in fact our brain, which is inside our head, directs our actions. I'm only talking about voluntary actions.
the question was what directs the cell so it has to be the nucleus
@Mehek14 So, how does a nucleus direct prokaryotic cells, all of which lack a nucleus? Why is it than that without mitochondria, which have DNA found only in the mitochondria, Eukaryotic cells would die? Except for a very few species that steal mitochondria from organisms they parasitize.
