A ball is thrown vertically upward from the top of a 100 foot tower, with an initial velocity of 10 ft/sec. Its position function is s(t) = –16t2 + 10t + 100. What is its velocity in ft/sec when t = 2 seconds?

OpenStudy (freckles):

find v'(t) and then evaluate v'(t) at t=2

OpenStudy (zeesbrat3):

So v'(t) = -32t +10

OpenStudy (freckles):

ooops sorry should have said s'(t)

OpenStudy (freckles):

but yeah v(t)=s'(t) which is the velocity function

OpenStudy (freckles):

but yeah v(t)=-32t+10

OpenStudy (zeesbrat3):

Either way.. I see what I did wrong. I did the same thing but read 10 as 100. Made a completely different answer. Thank you nonetheless
