Very briefly i'll explain the order of operations. PEMDAS or Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally is, Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition Subtraction. So essentially what you need to do, is go through and see what the order of operations are. If you have 3(5x – 4) – 4 = 2(x – 5) What is the first operation you see that needs to be done? (PEMDAS)
