will medal and fan can anyone give me a few examples on physical science hypothesis.
Hypothesis examples 1. If i drop this egg, then it will break. 2. If i mix these chemicals, some reaction will occur. 3. There will be no correlation between a persons shoe size, and their favourite ice cream flavour. 4. The dog will chase the cat. 5. Nothing will happen. These are all clear statements, results from each experiment should either support the hypothesis, or oppose it. — it doesn't matter if you end up showing that the hypothesis is completely wrong, it just matters that your experimental results help to decide whether the hypothesis was likely to have been right or wrong. Sometimes (as in 5.) it is easier to make what is called a Null hypothesis: that changing some condition will not make any difference to the results (than compared to a control). Experiment will often disagree with the null hypothesis (which is fine).
