@whoperman28

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I think there is a mistake in the question, or the diagram. CDEF is NOT a square in your picture, nor is ABCF a parallelogram.

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

Lol well i suck lol can you help me

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Are the notes under the picture YOURS? or did they come with the question...?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

There mine i thought it was tru

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

heres the question without that

OpenStudy (mrnood):

First thing I note is it says 'Show all YOUR work' Are you willing to DO the work? I am not gong to give the answer direct... Posters who say the 'suck' are often not inclined to try very hard....

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

I just did an hour problem with a person i can go another hour with you if u are willing to help me

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I can't teach you all of triangle geometry. Do you know the following?: how to find the distance between 2 known points on a diagram? how to find the area of a triangle from (H x W)/2 how to find the area of a triangle from the 3 sides (semiperimeter formula...)? How to find the area of a rectangle (or square)

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

distance formula is derived from the Pythagorean theorem. To find the distance between two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), all that you need to do is use the coordinates of these ordered pairs and apply the formula pictured below. A=hbb/ 2 Area is measured in square units such as square inches, square feet or square meters. To find the area of a rectangle, multiply the length by the width. The formula is: , where is the area, is the length, is the width, and.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

OK - I have seen an easier way to do this. Do you know the (H x W) / 2 fro area of a triangle?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

yea

OpenStudy (mrnood):

OK so draw a square AROUND the diagram so it starts at (0,-5) and ends at (3,-8) It will pass through all the points except F tell me when oyu have done that.

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

ok

OpenStudy (mrnood):

OpenStudy (mrnood):

So what is the area of the square?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

Hey befor u dive into this i got it now lol thx for the help i had 3 other done so that would be 30 points and i just said somthing smart cuz its already almost 5 am here and ive been up all day. If u need my help later on lemme know illl happy to help you

OpenStudy (mrnood):

!!! if I need YOUR help????????????

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):
