Help! Will Reward! A student club as 15 members (a) how many ways can a president, vice president, treasurer, and sergeant of arms be chosen? (b) how many ways can a committee of 4 be selected?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

a) we have 15 choices for the president, 14 choices for the vice president (because we already chose a president), 13 choices for the treasurer, 12 choices for the sergeant of arms 15*14*13*12 b) this is a combination problem (order does not matter) use the formula nCr = n!/(r!*(n-r)!) where n = the number of students (15) and r = the size of the committee (4)
