I know the steps of the process but I dont know how to find the value of x...

1) y is equal to x+4 from the first equation
2) y is equal to -2x-2x from the second equation

if y is equal to x+4 and -2x-2, then x+4 is equal to -2x-2. (agree?)

and then solve for x.
