My understanding of the month of Ramadan all Islam only eats after nightfall as a form of worship. Personally I'm on a perpetual fast of only eating kosher, which I started ten years ago when I was 54. Outward worship may be important but I'm not much for group worship except for people I run into or maybe sent to me. I'm just glad I live in a time and place where I can have my personal devotions and feel sad for those who can't. To be able to choose what I eat is still somewhat sad with all those people just eating what they can. I recognize all life is sacred from the plants to animals I eat, that's why both plants and animals where used in ancient sacrifices, because we had to kill them to survive. Remember old way's are there to point to new and should never be forgotten.
