average of x2 - 16, 39 - x2 and 3x + 10 ? add up these 3 expressions (and combine "like" terms) then divide by 3 to get the average

@annas In the first question, there is the sentence " Each of M and N has a link to R. Q-1." What is the meaning of "Q-1"? Is there a typo? Also, I think the question means each road (MNOPQR) has a colour, but each link road cannot link roads of the same colour. For example, if there is a link road between N and O, then N and O must have different colours.

The net can be represented as follows |dw:1434720504424:dw| For the cycle OPQ, we need three colours, meaning that O,P and Q have to have different colours. For the cycle OMRN, there are 4 vertices, so only two colours are needed. I will let you figure which vertices (out of OMRN) can have the same colour as O. If in doubt, take a piece of paper and draw the colours.
