Find the slope of the line passing through points P(8, -1), Q(0, -7). ¾ -4/3 -3/4 4/3 Help me please

OpenStudy (sawq):

Do u have a pic?

OpenStudy (mbma526):

No it just gave me the question. @sawq

OpenStudy (sawq):

mmm... ok lemme see

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Okay, what you need to do is use that and graph it. OR you can just imaging it in your head If slope is rise over run, then all you need to do is find the distance between the y1 and y2 intercept, and the x1 and x2 intercept.

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

8, -1 0, -7 the rise would be along the y axis, and the run over the x axis the difference between 8 and 0 is 8, so the run is 8 the difference between -1 and -7 is 6 8/6 (then simplify) the slope is 4/3 Hope that heps >.<

OpenStudy (mbma526):

Yes it does thank you @Jadeishere

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Anytime :)
