HELP ME!!!! A cone has a diameter of 24 in. and a slant height of 15 in. What is the approximate volume of the cone? Use 3.14 to approximate the value of straight pi. Round your answer to the nearest tenth, if necessary. (Hint: V equals 1 third straight pi r squared h ) A. 1248.6 in3 B. 1356.5 in3 C. 2260.8 in3 D. 5425.9 in3

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

the formula is pie x (r)^2 x (h/3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you walk me through.

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=volume+of+cone

Can YOU walk me through.

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

radius will be half the diameter which is 12 in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My brain hurts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK..... now what?

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=volume+of+cone go here and insert the values..... u will see the formula there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please. Do you even know how to do it.

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

V = PIE (3.14) * (square of the radius) * (height divided by 3)

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

the radius (which is half the diameter) is 12inch so after adding the values to the formula u get .... 3.14 * 12 * (15/3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

188.4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SyedMohammed98

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

u u forgot to take the square of the radius (12) which 144 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

which is 144*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2260.8?

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

yup :)...finally phew

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with one more?

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

um okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok one sec
