Explain how and why European diseases did more to destroy the people of South America (Inca, Maya, Aztecs) than the wars and take over by the Spanish and the Portuguese.

I think it's because they had no immunity built up to the diseases, where as when it comes to war they at least have a chances to fight back. If you got sick and had no immunity built up you would most likely die. If you got injured during the war you could possibly get treated and end up getting better.
