jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

why false?

OpenStudy (briana.img):

@jim_thompson5910 because x+3= -3? no? so the coordinate for x would be -3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

very good, the (x+3)^2 implies that the x coordinate of the center of the circle is -3, when it should be +3 y has a similar issue as well

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this is a common problem since many forget to flip the signs

OpenStudy (briana.img):

@jim_thompson5910 i just recently learned it from a mistake so i just wanted to make sure but thank you!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
