Adam paid $76.25 for renting a bicycle for 5 hours. What was the rate per hour for renting the bicycle? (Input only numeric values and decimal point, and report prices to two decimal places, such as 12.30.)

OpenStudy (triciaal):

You have the cost for 5 hours and you need the cost for 1 hour

OpenStudy (triciaal):

Hint 5 hours = 5 times 1 hour

idk

I don't see the draw tool on here. Anyway, If 5 * 1 hour = 76.25 then to get just 1 hour on the left you have to divide by 5. Do you see that? This is equation whatever you do to one side also do the same to the other to keep the balance so divide the right side by 5 also. Agree? Now do you see 1 hour will be 76.25/5?
