Please explain how to use the mean and standard deviation of a normal distribution to determine the top 5% of the population.

mean=all numbers added together divide total amount of numbers

You need to use your graphing calculator and do this:

finding z-score, you use invnorm (under distr button... on my calc, the TI-84 plus, it is option number 3.. it may be different for you though)

so then you do this

2nd, VARS, invnorm and enter 0.95

you should get a graph of a sort :)
