There are 6 sisters. Each sister has 1 brother. How many brothers are in the sisters' family?

OpenStudy (xxmuslimxx):

Are they all in the same family?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Doesn't say.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or again, it could be 6. It's dumb phrasing but I think it's meant to be 1.

Mehek (mehek14):

of course it's 1 they all share the same brother

OpenStudy (xxmuslimxx):

....because they are sisters!

Mehek (mehek14):

@AngusV sisters are in 1 family ._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't specify. You are still a "brother" to someone even if you are not a brother to me same as your father is a "father" even if he is not my father.

OpenStudy (xxmuslimxx):

I agree @AngusV

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AngusV me too :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I agree the answer is 1 based on the fact that 6 sounds like the obvious answer here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah.
