How do you know both equations say the same thing? 1. __+18=42 AND 42-__=18 2. __+18=42 AND __+17=41 All the __ are 24, but I don't get how they 'say' the same thing. Please help!

__+18=24 think typo you mean 42
The blanks can't be 24 because 24+18 is NOT 24
Yah oops sorry. I meant 42...
42-42 does to equal 18
