A makes a box in 5 minutes ,B takes 7 mins to make a box .what will be ratio of the number of boxes produced by A to number of boxes produced by B if they work 5& a half hours??????

OpenStudy (kropot72):

In 5 minutes A will make one box. In 5 minutes B will make 5/7 of a box. Therefore the ratio of boxes produced in a given time is 1 : 5/7. If you multiply both terms of this ratio by 7 you will eliminate the fraction.

Refer to the Mathematica attachment.

It used to be the case, but not now, that Mathematica v9's and openstudy's sigma Euqation button were compatible.

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Note that the number of hours worked does not affect the ratio of boxes produced by A and B.
