Well I found these examples on the lesson and they say:
Only we requested three songs.
We only requested three songs.
We requested only three songs.

The first example indicates that no one else requested three songs except the speaker and those with him. The second implies that the speakers requested the songs but did not demand them. The third implies that they could have requested more than three songs.
