Write a rule for the linear function whose graph has slope m and contains the given point. m = 3; (-2, -2) a. y = 3x + 4 b. y = 3x - 4 c. y = 3x + 2 d. y = 3x - 2

So, what did you try or what part did you have trouble with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just dont get it

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

OK. Well, the formulas they give as answers are all in the form of: y=mx+b You know what m is. They give it to you. They also give an (x, y) point. But you need to find b. Then you can put the m and b in and have an answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think i get it. is it A?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yah, looks like that is what b would solve for.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank you
