What? One tissue culture cannot be used for all cancer patients. How are you going to treat testicular cancer via cultures of breast cancers? Cancer is not a single disease, it is a group of diseases that cover a very wide range of causes and symptoms.

i agree with mrdoldum, i rather think that the answer should be that the tissue culture helps us see the effect of medications in vitro(outside the body) which is benefitial because it is a kind of test ,before administering the medication to the individual to see whether it has the desired effects on the tissue or not.

They also allow for rapid testing of many potential treatments in a controlled, or controlled as possible, setting. We cannot go around testing treatments on people or animals, it just is not a viable, let alone ethical, thing to do.
