In a 30°-60°-90° triangle, the length of the hypotenuse is 30. Find the length of the longer leg. A. 15 B. 10√3 C. 15√2 D. 15√3
Hi, welcome to OpenStudy! :D
AIGHT
Do you know the relationship between sides of a 30-60-90 triangle?
here we can use trignometry to find the length...

the longe leg here will be opposite to the angle 60degree
exactly chopper...
Uhm. Chethus, I strongly disagree with you in all humble respect. The longest leg is across from 90.

The hypotenuse is 30, stated in your given question. The hypotenuse in my picture is 2x. Given that you can compare both triangles, you can say that 30=2x So @Revoltz_Dreamz What is your answer if your solve that equation?
how can that be buddy...we are already given the length of the hypotenuse....
@karatechopper , @chethus is correct
The longest leg. Not the longest side.
I'm a bit confused on what u mean as LEG

yh..so the answer is 15root3...
OH MY GOSH
I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH TERMS LOL. I THOUGHT A LEG WAS A SIDE. WELL IN ALL DUE RESPECT THEN CHETUS IS RIGHT
KarateChopper, are you feeling alright? xD
leg is just a term used in rite triangles...it symbolifies either of the sides except the hypo
sooo the answer?
So, if the hypotenuse is 30, then what are the values of the other legs?
Also, do remember @Revoltz_Dreamz this is OpenStudy. And on OpenStudy we do not give answers, we guide you to the answer.
chethus lol
WHY MAN xD you just saw abdullah say no straight answers.
