Which theory of power do you thin describes the United States an why? Use evidence to support your position. Karl Marx C. Wright Mills Max Weber or the pluralist theory

OpenStudy (surana):

Marx was involved with the future Soviet Union, so he's definitely not an option.

OpenStudy (surana):

I personally believe it to be the Pluralist Theory, since Weber was a German philosopher involved with German politics, not American. I don't know about Wright.

OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

Tell me more about why you think it is the pluralist theory:) @Surana

OpenStudy (surana):

The other choices don't make sense to me. Marx, a communist at heart, would have disagreed with the path the United States currently goes along, and Weber is a German philosopher who had no involvement with theories of power regarding the United States. The Pluralist theory mentions American specifically and has relevance to power, so that's why I believe it to be the right choice.

Sweet thanks!
