\(\bf 12x^4y^3z^2w\div 2xy^2\implies \cfrac{12x^4y^3z^2w}{2xy^2}\implies \cfrac{6\cdot 2\cdot xxxx\cdot yyy\cdot zz}{2\cdot x\cdot yy}\) cancel anything you can, and whatever is left, is the answer :)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

on the 2nd one \(\bf 2r^2s^3t+2s^3t^2+rs^4t^3\div s^2t\implies \cfrac{2r^2s^3t+2s^3t^2+rs^4t^3}{s^2t}\) take common factor atop first

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

if you want to find a common factor, you could just expand the factors atop like the we did on the previous one and do say \(\bf 2r^2s^3t+2s^3t^2+rs^4t^3\div s^2t\implies \cfrac{2r^2s^3t+2s^3t^2+rs^4t^3}{s^2t} \\ \quad \\ \cfrac{2rr{\color{blue}{ ss}} s{\color{blue}{ t}}+2{\color{blue}{ ss}} st{\color{blue}{ t}}+r{\color{blue}{ ss}} ss{\color{blue}{ t}} tt}{{\color{blue}{ sst}}}\)
