1. Solve: x2 − 2x − 24 = 0. x = 4, x = 6 x = 4, x = −6 x = −4, x = 6 x = −4, x = −6 2. What are the x-intercept(s) of the graph of the equation y − x2 = −4x − 5? (1, 0) and (−5, 0) (1, 5) (−1, 0) and (−5, 0) (−1, 0) and (5, 0) 3. Solve: 0 = 4x2 − 8x − 5. x = −1 over 2, x = 5 over 2 x = −1 over 2, x = −negative 5 over 2 x = 1 over 2, x = −negative 5 over 2 x = 1 over 2, x = 5 over 2
