hi are you there right now?
yep.
ok so we want to divide |dw:1435146957705:dw| right?
do you know how to change a mixed fraction into an improper fraction?
do you mind just giving me the answer I don't have much time
I can't give direct answers because it is against OpenStudy's Code of Conduct.
ahh I see,
yeah it's written in stone "Don't devalue the question/answer process! Don't provide someone with just the answer - explain the process, and help guide them through understanding the problem. Don't just provide the answer to a problem when someone else is in the middle of helping! But if you want to help, by all means, join in!?
can you like, give it to me in a way that doesn't break the rules?
I can try but I can't guarantee it.
I was asking if you knew how to change a mixed fraction into an improper fraction
division for fractions don't exist.. all fraction problems that ask for division require the second fraction to be flipped and multiplication is being used instead.
that's why for this problem it's easier to convert the mixed fraction into an improper fraction.. and then flip the second fraction
for the first fraction |dw:1435147425986:dw| what is 8 x 6 + 1 ?
