If the range of the function f(x)=x4 is {28, 30, 32, 34, 36}, what is its domain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in a function, just remember that domain is all the x values and range is all the y values. the function can be written as y=x^4 yo have all the y values, you can calculate all the x values (domain) so\[x=\sqrt[4]{y}\]

ok thank you

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

don't forget the negative values..

Did you ever get your answer @ladivaneles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no @Teddyiswatshecallsme

OpenStudy (teddyiswatshecallsme):

Use the formula Niti gave you and substitute the values accordingly and see what you get for your first pair of y-coordinates.
