Find the image of A(4, -2) after it is reflected over the line y = 2, then reflected over the line x = 2. (-8, 6) (0, -2) (0, 6) (-8, -2)

anybody know?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

The rule for reflection about the line y=y0 is (x,y) -> (x, 2y0-y) which means x does not change, y coordinate changes from y to 2*y0-y. For example: when point (5,3) is reflected about y=4 (5,3) -> (5, 2*4-3) or (5,5) You can work out similarly for reflection about x=x0.
