I am a bit confused can someone give me a hint or help please? What are the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle under the translation (x, y) > (x - 1, y - 3)?
Sup I will help
Okay thanks!
I don't know what points on the shape would be x and y and i'm not sure where they want me to translation it.
actually I am so sorry I don't know how to explain this but I nkknow how to do it lol here, @math1234
My answer choices: (5, -4), (0, 0), (5, 4) (-4, 5), (0, 0), (4, 5) (-8, 0), (-1, -1), (-4, -5) (0, -8), (-1, -1), (-5, -4)
ah ok
Ok so they want the edges of the triangle, translate them all x-1 and y-3
okay so what does translate mean?
So (0,2) --> (0-1,2-3)--> (-1, -1) for the first point does that make sense?
it be -1 -1? i see 1 -1 even though thats not on my choices. i must be doing it wrong then :/
hold on i will ]show you the answer
Ohh okay i get it u moved it downwards
It would be the third one i Believe
got it/? can i have a medal?
I am getting the wrong answer for the point 3, -7 where would i move those points i know i have to move x-1 and y-3
3-1,-7-3 = 2,-10 But you are not supposed to be working with 3,-7, you are working with the three points that define the triangle
is this flvs
I think I got it now. I think the answer is D (0, -8), (-1, -1), (-5, -4)
NO it is C
am i right or i think its c
oh okay thats what i thought
Your x and y values are switched for the third pair of coordinates.
Hope you git it, can i git a medal.
okay i was confused if it was 0, -8 or 8, -0
yes but can i get one too?
sure
thanks!
