do you know what "finite" means?
Any set whose elements can be counted ?
hmm no
some sets can be counted even if there is an infinite number of elements in them
but perhaps it would be easier to think of it that way, you can count them and at some point you would stop for example, there are 26 letters in the alphabet, so if you counted them you would stop at 26
