this is because he is working two jobs. one is mowing the lawn each week, the other is working at his father's workshop per hour. it says that he worked for 3 weeks and earned a total of 167.25. So then this would give you that he mowed the lawn 3 weeks but it doesn't give you the hours, so you have to make the equation which would be... 3(20)+7.15x=167.25 60+7.15x=167.25 7.15x=107.25 x=15
