The ratio of the side length of square A to the side length of square B is 3:5. The perimeter of square B is 60 feet. What is the area of square A?
25
How?
let the side of the square A be x and square B be y perimeter square A= 4x perimeter of square B= 4y 4y=60 y=15 also we know x/y=3/5 x=3*15/5=9 area of square A=4*9=36
\[\text{Solve}\left[\frac{3}{5}=\frac{x}{60}\right] \]x = 36
