Algebra 2 help please! What is the equation in point-slope form of the line passing through (0, 2) and (1, 5)? a) y − 5 = 3(x − 1) b) y − 2 = −3(x − 0) c) y + 2 = 3(x + 1) d) y + 5 = −3(x + 1)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

first find the slope of the line can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah its 3

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes thats right now plug in m = 3 and the points (x1,y1) = (0,2) into the standard equation y - y1 = m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh i get it now! Thanks for helping me through that!

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- or you can use the point (1,5)
