OpenStudy (chris215):

Which of the following processes show no work done? a refrigerator used to freeze water a tire being inflated with an air pump water getting boiled in a pressure cooker an automobile engine operating for several minutes

OpenStudy (chris215):

Im confused because aren't all of these examples of work being done?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg so confusing. But I want to say its the refrigerator because a refrigerator when plugged up and such should automatically freeze water. The others have to have something being done like the tire if its being blown up then someone has to be doing the work. water being boiled could also be an answer because its sort of like a fridge a pressure cooker just does it on its own when you plug it up and such. heck idk nevermind an vehicle has to be turned on but its using a mtor to run and so is the refrigerator and also pressure cooker. pretty much they all use a motor. so none of them. sorry for typing so much
