Could someone check over my thesis statement on "Japanese American Internment Camps" Will Medal
Coming to America in the late 1800's many Japanese believed they would start a new prosperous life in America. As the years went on they weren't going to get the life they truly wanted. After the surprising attack on the Pearl Harbor. With constant spreading of how the Japanese Americans knew about the ordeal, President Roosevelt had to take action. "On Thursday, February 19, 1942, President Roosevelt issued the Executive Order 9066, which called for an evacuation of Japanese Americans on the west coast with the excuse of a “military necessity.” The government’s hasty enforcement of Executive Order 9066 in reaction to public hysteria, not only violated the rights of Japanese Americans, but also resulted in unnecessary effort and attention towards the internment camps."
