What is the distance between the points (-5, 2) and (4, 9)? A. square root of 32 B. square root of 82 C. square root of 130 D. square root of 170
HI!!!
from -5 to 4 is 9 units right from 2 to 9 is 7 units up by pythagoras your answer is \[\sqrt{9^2+7^2}\]
if you are a slave to the formula you can use \[d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_2)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\] you will get the same thing
so 81 +289=370 so the square root of 370?
hmm no
\(7^2=49\)
ugh I hate calculators. ok so 81+49?
yeah easier to do this one in your head yeah, \(\sqrt{130}\)
or just go with C since it is C at least 87% of the time
btw your picture is cool who is it?
one of my drawings thank ya :)
you drew it! wow!
yeah I love drawing.
someday make me one and i will change my picture
