The lower the temperature the higher the pressure. that means that particles are closely packed together and this favours the physical process of solidification - formation of salts! That is to say, according to the map, the blue spots have the greatest salinity and the red ones, the least. South of Australia has higher salinity than north Australia does. Waters from across USA are very salty. The ocean around Latin America are warm and poorly salty.
