Who was the winning general for the North in the Civil War? Ulysses S. Grant Robert E. Lee Abraham Lincoln Winfield Scott

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ulysses S. Grant, remember i think he was a general or something that won a war

It was not Winfield Scott because he was not a general until a little after the civil war, it was not Abraham Lincoln because he was the commander in chief during the civil war although he was sided with the north he was not a general, it was not Robert E. Lee because he was a general for the south so that leaves you with Ulysses S. Grant who was general for the north during the civil war. Hope I helped :)
